Laboratory Testing
Take an active role in managing your health
Lab testing may be recommended to provide a more complete understanding of how your body is functioning. Particular tests are chosen to add useful information in determining which foods and food substrates, or lifestyle suggestions I may offer. Lab testing is also useful for monitoring your nutritional programme and finding out if you may have a genetic predisposition to certain illnesses such as estrogen sensitive cancer, coeliac disease and others.
These are some of the common laboratory tests I use:
Comprehensive Digestive Stool Analysis – This comprehensive analysis evaluates, digestion, absorption, gut flora, the colonic environment, parasites, fungus including Candida and pathogenic bacteria.
Comprehensive Parasitology – This test assesses the presence and level of beneficial and pathogenic bacteria, parasites, fungus and Candida.
Hair Mineral Analysis – The Hair Mineral Analysis tests for toxic heavy metals and essential trace elements.
Vitamin D – Levels of Vitamin D have a hormone life effect and are extremely important for immune protection and many other actions.
Female Hormone Profile – This test is highly recommended for pre menopausal women.
Menopausal Profile – for checking balance and levels of hormones.
Blood chemistries – to investigate functioning of organs, glands and hormones and other aspects of body function.
Food intolerance/sensitivity to food tests, including tests for common reactions to dairy and grain, gluten, other groups of foods and inhalants.
